Last week, I walked for several times from Kings's Stable to Abbeyhill, photographing street windows and objects inside them.

In the process of sorting out the research material of this round, I extracted the part I was most interested in and drew it on the sketch book.

The objects around the windows on King’s Stable and Johnston Terrace

The objects around the windows on Lawn Market

The objects around the windows on High Street

The objects around the windows on Canongate
It is obvious that, after I put the objects together, though the streets are linked together and are all in the Old Town, there are still some differences.
For example, the objects around the windows on the King's Stable and Johnston Terrace are mostly about life, and there are objects for a whole family. You can see the chess board, chairs placed side by side, cartoon calendar hanging on the wall , and so on.
On the other hand, the windows of the Lawn Market have all kinds of potted plants and flowers. Maybe it is because there are many gift shops for tourists downstairs, and the windowsills upstairs are set with green plants.
The objects around the windows on High Street may look more elegant. Perhaps because of the high rent on that street, most of the things placed by the window are light luxuries of daily necessities.
The Windows of Canogate are mostly disorganized, with teddy bears, team flags, and half-broken figures, etc., showing that the street is mostly populated by young people who are passionate of their life.
Based on some graphic illustrations from last week and sketches from this week, I put these elements together, and I made these little illustrations.

Next week, I plan to integrate the wall and window frames I drew before into these vector illustrations. I may make different chapters for each street and arrange the book in the form of these illustrations, so as to make a graphic book similar to window tour.
