PR - Future Plan

Same as the decision I made in the first semester, I still plan to design a UI interface system on the topic of digital information heritage to help solve some problems raised by the Internet era.

After a whole semester of research, I found that the problems of digital information heritage are very complex. It is not like what I’ve imagined at the beginning, which only requires the review of legal documents, the handover of the deceased to the successor, the archiving and partial display of digital information provided on the platform.

At the same time, after understanding many theories related to this topic, such as Posthumanism, Futurism, Nihilism, etc. my vision on this topic is mixed with some humanitarian thoughts. This has led to many differences between my conception now and the original functional conception. So for the next semester, one direction is to solve purposefully the inheritance and preservation of the digital information heritage in the society in the coming decades. In the other direction, I need to explore the impact of digital information heritage on the deceased and the living under the concept of humanitarianism. Or maybe I can combine those two together and find a general solution.
