Transhumanism is a philosophical movement, the proponents of which advocate and predict the enhancement of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies able to greatly enhance longevity, mood and cognitive abilities.

Nowadays, transhumanism is being integrated into the mainstream culture, as more and more scientists, science writers and thinkers begin to take seriously the various possibilities of transhumanism. The believers of transhumanism formed a group called HumanityPlus (referred to as Humanity+, or H+, formerly known as the World Superman Association, World Transhumanist Association) is a non-profit democratic membership organization.
