虚拟遗产案例1：

在伊拉克战争之中， 21岁的美国士兵贾斯汀·艾斯沃斯(Justin Ellsworth)中弹身亡。其父亲就到法院去，要求拿回孩子在雅虎的账号和密码。他认为虚拟财产属于遗产并且可以继承。账户里面有大量父亲和儿子的照片和通话记录

雅虎拒绝他的理由是认为这些不属于虚拟财产，是实实在在存在的照片或者聊天记录，是可以转化成实物的。

后来，官司一直打到了最高法院，最后法院判决雅虎把这个东西还给父亲。最后，雅虎刻了一张光盘，光盘里是跟父亲相关的一些照片还有一些邮件，但是雅虎最终还是没有把儿子的密码提供给父亲。

Virtual heritage case 1:

He believes that virtual property belongs to inheritance and can be inherited. There are a lot of photos and call logs of father and son in the account.

Yahoo's reason for rejecting him is that these are not virtual properties, but real photos or chat records that can be converted into real objects.

Later, the lawsuit went to the Supreme Court, and finally the court ruled that Yahoo should return the thing to his father. Finally, Yahoo carved a CD with some photos related to the father and some emails, but Yahoo ultimately failed to provide his son's password to his father.

虚拟遗产案例2：

2010年，湖南的王先生去世后，其妻子要求腾讯公司提供王先生的QQ邮箱密码，以便整理丈夫保存在邮箱中的两人照片留作纪念，被腾讯公司以QQ号码不属于法律上遗产的范畴予以拒绝。

Virtual heritage case 2:

2012年，淘宝店铺继承案中，原告作为已故店主亲友希望继承店主生前创办的虚拟店铺，而淘宝网规定，店铺只有在法律规定或法律文书裁定且淘宝网同意的情况下才能被继承。
